ÁLEX MÁRQUEZ FIGHTS BACK TO FINISH AS TOP HONDA AT CATALUNYA GRAND PRIX

Álex Márquez produced a stunning fightback in Sunday’s race to claim a superb top-10 finish at the Catalan Grand Prix. Having missed qualifying after a serious fall yesterday, the LCR Honda CASTROL rider battled through from the back of the grid to take 10^th position in front of 60,000 of his home fans at Montmelo.

After being passed fit to compete following medical checks, Álex impressed in the warm-up as he went 11^th fastest. He carried that momentum into the race, making up a number of places in the early exchanges, before passing both Pol Espargaro and Darryn Binder on the tenth lap to move into the top 10. He maintained his form until the chequered flag and finished as the top Honda bike in his own backyard.
