ÁLEX MÁRQUEZ MOTIVATED AHEAD OF HOME GP IN JEREZ

LCR Honda CASTROL’s Álex Márquez is aiming to build on his excellent finish at Portimao when the MotoGP class reassemble for round four of the World Championship in Spain. The Spaniard – who will sport special CASTROL livery in Jerez – claimed his first points in LCR colours by finishing eighth in Portugal after demonstrating encouraging speed throughout the weekend.

Back on home soil at the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto, Márquez will hope to maintain that momentum at a venue which holds happy memories for him, having won there in the Moto2 class in 2017. With an improvement in qualifying one of his main targets, he’ll be hoping to crack Q1 for the first time this season on Saturday.
